Position Title : Performance Engineer
Location : Cleveland, OH
Duration : 6 months
Posiiton Type : Contract to Hire
Description:
The major focus of this role is to plan and to facilitate the performance testing activities for all EY SLAS Projects; this role will strategize with the business, project managers, plan the approach and work with the execution teams. This role will analyze the performance testing results and work with the project team including architecture, developers, quality assurance and project managers.
Lead software performance engineering component for all new development and re-factoring efforts in order to increase the robustness, performance, and scalability of the product suite.
Evaluate new development practices and platform technologies for the advancement of performance, scalability and stability in the product suite.
Proven repeatable performance testing methodology with large complex environments outside of web performance
Defining benchmarks from the business and technical requirements
Reviewing functional workflow and technical design specifications
Plans approach/strategy for all performance testing effort projects
Establish performance objectives for benchmark exercises
Coordinate plans with architects, development managers, product managers and quality assurance managers.
Occasionally give direction to outside Performance Engineers executing the scripts
Develop performance data models in order to predict workload characterizations
Analyze test results to identify problems and work with architect s and development to suggest improvements to the software development team
Report performance metrics
