Project Description
This project manager will assist with managing projects for one of the client's portfolios, which consists of the hosting environment and desktop loadset shared by all client service line applications.
1. The application on which this candidate would work
1. Assist with managing the migration of client applications to client's new global core loadset. The new load set consists of Windows XP SP3, Office 2007, Internet Explorer 7 and Notes 8.0.2. The project includes phases to assess and remediate applications against Alpha, Beta, and Release Candidate versions of the loadset.
2. Manage acquisition and deployment of third party applications such as SMS and WebTrends to the production environement.
Description of day to day tasks (please be as descriptive as possible)
Manage one or more project teams of 4 to 10 team members.
Oversee work of System Analyst, Development, Quality Assurance Lead/Tester, Infrastructure Engineer, and Database Administrator disciplines
Prepare weekly proejct status report
Prepare project plan and budget
Maintain issue and risk logs
Work closely with Global IT Portfolio Manager on assigned projects.
Work closely with projects' business sponsors on assigned projects
2. Description of technical environment (.NET, Oracle, Websphere, etc.)
Web apps - .NET and SQL Server 2005, Desktop - VB, .NET, Lotus Notes/Domino

Technical Skills
? Rational Unified Process ? 2-3 years experience
? Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project - 4-5 years experience
? Microsoft Visio ? 1-2 years experience
? Application Development Projects ? 4-5 years experience
