Job Description:
Weirich Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking Technical Safety Requirements Writer for on going projects at the Savannah River Site, Aiken, SC

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, Math, or Science is required.
Experience/Skills:
Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years experience in the nuclear safety industry through support to the Department of Energy (DOE) Complex with specific, demonstrable, and verifiable
experience writing technical safety requirements for Department of Energy facilities.
Candidates are required to be well versed in DOE G 423.1-1, 'Implementation Guide for Use in Developing Technical Safety Requirements', and DOE-STD-3009, 'Preparation Guide for U.S. Department of Energy Nonreactor Nuclear Facility Documented Safety Analyses'.

A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L or Q
clearance if required to perform assigned duties.

Duties: Support the SRNS Nuclear & Criticality Safety (N&CSE) organization in the development of technical safety requirements to support new and existing facility or project documented safety analyses. Candidate is expected to be able to work with facility and project personnel to develop logically correct, technically adequate, and implementable technical safety requirements. Ensure that the developed products are consistent with existing technical safety requirements (as applicable) and are compliant with standard DOE rules and guides and Savannah River Site-specific methodology manuals. Demonstrate personal accountability for project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the safe performance of work.
