Job Description: QA Senior AnalystProvide leadership direction for QA team. Plan, manage and execute delivery of QA tasks in adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or in support of QA initiatives to provide efficiencies and quality products on time to our end customer.Position Summary/Mission Ensure the quality of one or more applications or technologies. Interacts with other areas of the QA organization to effectively develop the test framework to align with the business strategy and goals for the release. Define, develop, maintain, and execute test strategy, test plan and scripts on time and escalate issues and risks as appropriate to ensure projects stay on track. Responsible for defect ownership through the SDLC phases. Ensures the product testing is complete and of high quality prior to sign off. Provides Subject Matter Expertise, to include test planning and identifying data, as required. Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements (* denotes essential functions) Participates and provides recommendations in the development of the test framework. Promotes repeatability, reusability, efficiencies, and cross training to facilitate the development and maintenance of a matrixed organization.(*) Provides estimates for testing efforts utilizing the proper QA tools. Monitors changes in test case priority based on changing project delivery priorities.(*) Identifies and requests appropriate data based on testing requirements and types of tests to execute. Provides cross training of application/technical knowledge to other individuals within the QA organization.(*) Secondary Responsibilities Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests and actively participate in resolution; proposes and designs retest cases/scripts/data to retest defects; represents QA at project to discuss status, assess impacts and provide input into schedule revisions. Participates in QA production certification tasks. Background/Experience Desired Experience in Healthcare industry specifically in Medicaid/Medicare from a payor perspective. Strong SQL proficiency, with thorough understanding of database stored procedures. Strong relational database experience with thorough understanding of data model. Experience specific to TriZetto QNXT product. Strong Testing experience of any HIPAA transactions. Experience with software development lifecycles, having contributed to: estimation (resource planning), capacity planning, master test strategy (MTS), requirement traceability matrix, testing framework and strategy, and post implementation review. Experience with software development lifecycles, having owned: test case development, manual/automation test scripts, test results review. Experience with industry standard testing tools (e.g. Rational Tool Suite, Quality Center, Clear Quest, etc.). Strong analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, internally (within team or department) and externally to all business partners and constituents.Education and Certification Requirements BS in Computer Science or closely related field with 5+ years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE) designation preferred.
