Job Description:
The primary role of the Product Development Manager - Online Advertising is to build and promote the long-term online advertising platform, offering the our client's brands a platform for their largely ad-supported online media efforts. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Web Services. This position will serve on cross-functional teams that include members from: Marketing, Sales, Technology, Accounting & Finance, Legal, Strategic Planning, etc.
- Take ownership of requirements gathering and implementation across multiple project teams driving initial implementation, integration and launch of online advertising for several businesses. Provide formal product specifications of site offerings that can be used by the technical team as the requirements analysis for major new development projects. Ensure that the implementation of new products conforms to the product specification.
- Take ownership of online advertising platform architecture and configuration to ensure compliance with our client's corporate standards and individual business unit needs. Includes identifying needs, scoping solutions, identifying solutions (build/buy) and managing any necessary consulting engagements for the platform as necessary.
- Working closely with Sales to support their online advertising efforts.
- Working with Marketing to support their goals for online promotion of brands and services.
- On a centralized basis, build a foundation for delivering consumer service within the advertising marketplace online. This will include recommendations for business unit customization and use.
- Develop plan for continual competitive benchmarking and trend analyses.
- After implementation, support individual brands operational teams to maximize effectiveness and sales with new platform and product improvements.
- Participate in research and development efforts for next generation advertising technologies.
- Gather requirements for new products (and enhancements to existing products) from editorial, business development, and ad sales teams and coordinate the orderly sequencing of new product development to maximize the strategic impact of new feature development.

Requirements:
- Four-year degree
- Minimum of three to five years experience with online advertising products and technologies.
- The ideal candidate will have primary experience in product management of online advertising technologies, developing launch plans and executing and refining to ensure long-term advertising revenue and capabilities for the organization. Strong knowledge of back-end operations a must. Experience in Media & Entertainment industry a plus.
- Prior experience with online ad traffic, systems architecture or other technologies is preferred.
- Experience with DoubleClick Dart Enterprise and/or DoubleClick Dart for Publishers (DFP) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the online consumer, trends, technologies
- Ability to influence and manage multiple functions within an organization
- Demonstrated success working with multiple technical teams under different reporting structures.
- Experience in product design and development
- Excellent technical problem solving skills, including the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and correct system failures under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to participate in both technical and non-technical discussions with both technicians and non-technical end-users.
