Job Description:
Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated is looking for a Regional Systems and Network Administrator to fill a open requirement. Location can be remote. This is a permanent position.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Regional Systems & Network Administrator is responsible for technical oversight for multiple domestic contact centers. Provides logical insight and advanced problem solving methodologies supporting administrative, technical and engineering of network, systems and telephony in production (24x7x365) supporting a wide array of applications. The RSNA provides Incident Management Level 2 support to include incident identification and resolution. Responsibilities include server builds and installations, network equipment configuration and installations, documentation, monitoring, access methods, security and troubleshooting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Incident Management Level 2 ? Provides support to include resolution and re-engineering.
- Server/Application Administration - Advanced Server/Application Administration, validate system designs; design complex scripts, and prepares change implementation documents. Develops technical specifications for procurement of systems, equipment, and services for Advanced Systems.
- Server/Application Documentation - Documents all areas of the systems, including which clients are accessing which applications, databases and system security design. Works with the Business continuity manager on creating and updating system disaster avoidance / recovery plans.
- Change Administration - Acts as a key participant in Change Implementation Management (CIM) and submits change control documentation in accordance with standards.
- IT Physical Asset Management - Responsible for IT asset management and provides reports to management and the Asset Manager in accordance with standards.
- Software Compliance - Responsible for all software compliance issues and provides monthly reports to management and the Asset Manager.
- Data Room responsibilities relative to cabling, installation, upgrades and compliance with Data Room standards
- Conduct technical standards and configuration audits to ensure that all network and systems comply with SYKES policies and standards
- Assist in the implementation, configuration and support of new call centers and travel On-site as needed to provide technical support related to network and/or systems
- Assist local IT team with new client ramps including systems, network and telephony
- Provide technical training of site IT personnel relative to applicable and new technologies
- May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Position is on-call 70% of the time
Extensive travel 70-100% to remote sites (domestic) is required

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Communications Engineering. 4 to 6 years relate experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MCP required
- MCSE preferred
- CCNA certification or equivalent experience required.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 2000, 2003 server management applications such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Users and Computers, etc.
- Prior experience supporting large organizations (5000 users)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft ISA 2000, 2006 administration
- Basic understanding of VMware
- Solid working knowledge of required technical hardware such as Cisco Routers, CSU/DSU, bridges, multiplexers, servers and switches
- Solid working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, EIGRP, RIP, VLAN, firewall security, routing, switching, wireless (Aruba preferred), Windows OS (XP, 2000, 2003), server hardware, Telephony (Avaya preferred), ATM and B2B VPN
- Knowledge of IP addressing and sub-netting as well as diagnostic experience with a variety of protocol standards
- Experience and knowledge of the installation process for data switches, routers, hubs, gateways, intrusion detection systems and firewalls.
- Knowledge and experience working with various LAN cables, cable configurations and cable installation processes.
- Experience and knowledge working with various LAN operating networks and high level software and hardware diagnostic procedures.
- Technical competence and knowledge of TCP/IP protocol, OSI model, MPLS, and frame relay communication are necessary; knowledge of other advanced WAN transmission protocols is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge working with BGP and EIGRP as well as other routing protocols.
- Experience and knowledge working with Avaya and Cisco VOIP platforms.
- Experience and knowledge working with VOIP security best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of telephony systems with interaction to network and systems
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Network component integration and testing skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure is essential
