Currently we are seeking individuals for the following position: Lead Design Engineer - Test Systems
Job Responsibilities: Knowledge of data acquisition systems design in a test cell environment is required. Powertrain test system design is highly preferred. Familiarity with various measurement devices is a definite plus. Must have experience with low-voltage electrical design using E-Plan, AutoCAD, 3-D design tools (Solidworks) and schematic capture (PCB Layout tools are all a plus), mechanical packaging of components and layout of test cells and related control systems. Schematic capture and design for electrical control systems and signal conditioning is required. Experience with MRP/ERP systems, design for manufacturing, working with suppliers, and cost/value analysis is highly desirable.
The entire process of bringing a defined product for data acquisition and control systems for engine and/or component testing to market including: Conception, Design, Development and Documentation of the product including product packaging. Responsible to support commissioning, customer service, maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems.

Requirements: Skills Required to be considered: The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, with good organizational skills, that is capable of operating in a team environment with minimal supervision but able to follow processes and procedures and defined product user requirements. Good communication skills are a must. Some travel (primarily within the US) is required - approx. 20%
A thorough understanding of electrical system design and controls (low voltage) are required. Interest in complex systems of distributed devices and their use in automotive testing is preferred. Understanding/familiarity with E-Plan, AutoCAD, 3-D design tools (Solidworks) and schematic capture/PCB Layout tools are all a plus. Knowledge of signal conditioning/analog filtering is desired and digital signal processing knowledge is a plus. SAP or Visual Manufacturing experience also a plus
Minimum Education Required: - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, MS Preferred
