DW/ETL Architect Requirements
This position is for a senior architect within the Enterprise Data Warehouse Implementation team. Candidate will be responsible for time-critical strategic design & development in a medium sized development team.
General Requirements
*Candidate will be directly involved with requirements gathering, design, development, data modeling, ETL and data mapping across multiple projects.
*Candidate must have an analytical, logical, & result oriented thought process for designing & developing project solutions and resolution to issues.
*Candidate should have hands-on development skills as the position requires development responsibilities in addition to design & architecture.
*Candidate must show very high level of initiative and ownership within a matrixed development environment.

5+ Years
Requirements:
Must Have Requirements
*10+ years working with multiple DB platforms required.
*8+ years logical & physical data modeling. Excellent understanding of data models.
*5+ years of MS SQL 2000/2005 Server with SSAS & SSIS is a must.
*Expert knowledge of developing SSAS/Cognos cubes involving complex MDX functionality.
*Strong experience in Business Intelligence and ETL design and development.
*5+ years ETL experience preferred. ETL tools: Informatica, etc. Wherescape Red preferred
*Financial Services background, preferably with Private Equity & Asset Management experience.
Additionally Required
*Excellent understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
*Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
*Must be a detail oriented, analytical and an independent thinker.
*Able to work within defined standards and guidelines in ambiguous situations.
*Team player and multi-tasker to meet critical deliverable dates.
*Result Oriented
*Working & technical know-how of MS Office Applications
*Working experience on MS-Project, MS-Visio

**Experience using Business Intelligence tools
**Strong understanding of UML diagrams artifacts.
