Job Description: The Database Administrator will need to be well versed with: SQL Server 2000/SQL Server 2005, VB.NET, Oracle, ASP.NET
Applicant must have experience in all phases of the database life cycle, as well as excellent understanding of how to translate customer needs and business strategy into well formed and documented database designs. Candidate must have 5-8 years of provable Microsoft SQL Server database administrator experience.
Job Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:
Design & develop databases to drive ASP.NET applications
SQL Server 2005 Integration Services and Reporting Services
Windows 2003 Server foundational knowledge
Data Mart and Data Warehouse Analytical Services architecture
Quality Assurance Testing
Documentation of database designs and architectures
SQL Server 2005 high available cluster solutions
Supporting existing database systems including SQL Server and Oracle
Database administration, performance tuning and architecture
Stored procedures and query optimization
SQL Reporting Services data source infrastructure
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent, the ability to hit the ground running implementing database development best practices, producing technical documentation, implementing database maintenance programs and providing creative vision and implementation of database solutions. Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills are also required.
