Job Description:
Our client is looking for a senior HP Openview consultant who is well versed in HP monitoring products and basic operations and management concepts of multiple computer platforms. The candidate will be part of the Enterprise Systems Management team which is comprised of System Engineer/Architect/Administrator positions and will need to be able to work independently on some projects and as a collaborating team member. The candidate will also be expected to mentor and cross-train other members of the team. The main objective of the team is to monitor the health and performance of customer systems, infrastructure, web sites and applications and provide proactive notification of events, reports on trends and support of trouble-shooting efforts.

Required Skills:
Experience installing, configuring and administration of HP OpenView Operations and Network Node Manager
Experience installing, configuring and administration of HP OpenView Internet Services (OVIS), HP OpenView Performance Insight (OVPI) and HP OpenView Performance Manager (OVPM).
Strong knowledge in use and administration of at least one of the following Unix OSes: Sun Solaris, HP-UX
Strong knowledge in use and administration of at least one of the following versions of Windows: Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 server, Windows 2003 64-bit.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired skills:
3+ years experience installing, configuring and administration of HP OpenView Internet Services (OVIS) and HP OpenView Performance Insight (OVPI).
1+ years experience implementing OS and DB SPIs
Strong understanding of network concepts including firewalls, NAT, DNS and routing
Understanding of clustering technologies
Understanding of SAN technologies
Scripting skills in PERL, SQLPlus, Unix Shell and VBS
