Job Description: The Business Analyst's role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs with key stakeholders across the business, database architects and developers to define and document business and data requirements. This includes gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications.
Key Functions:
? Work with the product manager or feature sponsor to document the vision and the project's scope. ? Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards. ? Identify project stakeholders and user classes. Identify appropriate representatives for functionality and negotiate their responsibilities. ? Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints. ? Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and quality, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those must base their work on the requirements. ? Define site architecture and navigation and develop detailed sitemaps, page maps and wireframes for product information architecture, interface requirements, navigation flows, and rich media integration.

Requirements: Communication Abilities Required: ? Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information. ? Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say.
Education/Experience Requirements: ? 3-5 years business analysis and/or information architecture experience in a web development environment. ? Proven track record in gathering and documenting quality business requirements. ? Experience gathering requirements on existing complex and cross functional business processes with multiple system interfaces. ? User interface design experience, adhering to Web design standards. ? Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and strong attention to details. Ability to support multiple projects concurrently.
