Job Description:
Title: Design Engineer - Twinsburg/Aurora Area - 65 to 85K DOE, no relo; no sponsorship.
Reports To: VP, Eng.
Type: Full time, Salaried, exempt

Minimum Requirements: BSEE, BSEET, BSE, or equivalent. 5-10 yrs. experience in electronic design of analog and digital circuits and embedded Firmware. Familiarity with CAE and CAD systems, and SW development tools. Experience with Microchip, TI, Atmel and Freescale microprocessors and RTOS is desired.
Job Responsibilities: Work requires independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria, using originality and judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Competent in electronic design and development, from conception through release to production.
Receives direction and guidance in assignments and tasks, but takes responsibility for completion and follow through of project activities and deliverables.
Specific duties include:
? Definition and refinement of project requirements including specification generation
? Part selection
? Detailed hardware design and analysis
? Embedded Firmware design, development and debug
? Schematic capture and PCB layout support
? Prototype build and test ? design verification
? Design reviews, agency certification, and final product/project documentation
? Develop or support in-house systems and processes dealing with our day to day activities, with the ability to look at the big, longer term picture
? Occasional travel for sales support or on-site customer activities (Reviews, integration test, etc.)
? Learn the Mentor Graphics DxDesigner toolset ? attend training as appropriate
? Support internal procedures and processes to improve efficiency and quality of tasks and results.
? Support in-house systems and tools, as necessary. Make recommendations based on experience, need, research, etc. Get up to speed, as necessary, in unknown areas.

Due to the service nature of our business, this position can involve occasional meetings and interface with customers. This requires good interpersonal skills, presentation, and business etiquette.
