Job Description:
Mechanical Engineer - up to 70K - Twinsburg/Aurora Area - no relo; no sponsorship
Experienced in mechanical design of electronic packaging, housing, cables and harnesses. Familiarity with Pro/E and/or Solidworks 3D tools. Knowledgeable of rapid prototyping techniques (SLA, SLS, FDM, silicone molds), sheet metal fab, castings, materials. Designs include plastic and sheet metal enclosures, light pipes, cables and harnesses, custom electrical contacts, custom fasteners, and designs immune to shock and vibration. Definition and refinement of project requirements including specification generation. Industrial design concepts and refinement Materials selection Detailed mechanical 3D design Thermal and Stress Analysis Mold flow analysis Design for manufacturability Prototype build and test ? design verification Detailed part and assembly drawing generation, Bill of Materials and sourcing Design reviews, agency certification, and final product/project documentation Develop or support in-house systems and processes dealing with our day to day activities, with the ability to look at the big, longer term picture ? Occasional travel for sales support or on-site customer activities (Reviews, integration test, etc.) Support internal procedures and processes to improve efficiency and quality of tasks and results. Support in-house systems and tools, as necessary
