Job Description:
Structural Engineer - Akron,OH - Will relo; no sponsorship - 70 to 90K depending on experience.
Fossil Power Division is seeking a structural steel engineer who would be responsible for structural steel design of a variety of structures which support various comapny supplied equipment, boilers, DFGD vessels, flues, ducts and piping. Other duties include supporting company proposal activities (preparing steel estimates, developing customer specification reviews) and supporting sublet structural steel engineering efforts (monitor sublet design activities and progress).
The position requires a BSCE (Civil Engineering) and a minimum of 8 years of structural steel design in industrial and/or power plant facilities. Familiarity with STAAD Pro (company's current structural analysis tool) is highly desired. Both structural steel estimating experience and a PE license will be considered pluses. Some travel (less than 10%) may be required
