Job Description:
FPD Wet FGD System Field Engineering Specialist - live anywhere - travel extensively salary in the 80 to 110K range - no sponsorship
engineer will perform Wet FGD system operations analysis and equipment inspections, investigation of system and component operating problems, and assist in developing sales opportunities for aftermarket upgrade / rebuild projects and parts
Perform system and equipment inspections and provide detailed and accurate written reports of findings
Investigate malfunctioning equipment utilizing troubleshooting skills to identify problems and make recommendations
Prepare technical reports both for internal and external use summarizing the details of the inspections and observations, and proposing solutions
Perform formal and informal customer training sessions for system and components operation and maintenance
Direct the activities and training of customer mechanics during maintenance overhauls of components
Develop and maintain up-to-date competence in the related technology and product lines
Provide construction supervision and startup support, including mechanical components and controls
Provide technical support for customers and Sales related to the systems and components
Must have or be able to quickly develop an indepth understanding of the Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization process
Job Requirements : Typically requires a BS in engineering with a minimum of 6 years total experience with 3 years experience in Wet FGD systems. Candidate must be able to travel extensively - 70% domestic and have demonstrated skills indicating excellent communication abilities. A background in electrical and instrumentation related to the equipment and process required would be beneficial. Location of this position is open
