Please let me know if you have anyone for this Configuration Manager position in Germantown MD. This is for a 6 month contracting position.
The Configuration Management Analyst (CM Analyst) position is an intermediate-level professional. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified individual contributor who applies their broad range of knowledge in systems programming/analysis concepts, practices and procedures to facilitate controlled changes through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The CM Analyst is expected to be capable of working on fairly complex assignments (and/or portions of more large, complex systems) and perform a standard range of system operations activities. Success may require working under tight deadlines and is capable of handling heavy workloads, operating with only general supervision, although errors at this level can cause delay, expense and/or disruption.
This is a technical "hands on" position that will require an in-depth knowledge of implementing CM solutions using at least one of the following - Rational ClearQuest, ClearCase, UCM, ReqPro, and SODA, etc. The CM Analyst is expected to provide functional guidance to less experienced staff and "thought leadership" to develop and/or modify CM procedures to solve CM process and SDLC workflow challenges. Additionally, the CM Analyst will develop and/or contribute to maintenance of CM deliverables ? e.g., CM plan and formal procedure documents to guide project teams on CM processes.
Finally, the CM Analyst is expected to work across the organization by defining and articulating CM processes with the Development, Architecture, and Operations teams. The CM Analyst will provide general CM coordination support for project releases in coordination
with the Project Management Office.

Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible related technical experience.

Requirements:
* Strong background in configuration management.
* Demonstrates commitment to providing customer-focused quality service.
* Proficiency (3-5 years) administrating UCM based Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest.
* Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Perl or Shell Scripts.
* Must have hands-on experience working in a Unix backend environment with Windows clients.
* Ability to make oral presentations.
* Ability to interface successfully with clients and company personnel.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a technical team.
