Reference Number: 687 Job Description: Sr Developer - Solutions Architect Notes from meeting: This position has 3 dimensions: True Senior Developer of both front-end (user facing) and back-end (Server/Database application) applications. ...using vb.net or c#.net (80% of the job) Solutions Architect - You will need to think about how you will develop and what services you should utilize in order to develop a solution. Ex: web services?, data services? (18-19% of the job) There is a database side to this job too. You will create the SQL Server database. You will need to think about optimizing the use of the data. You need to set things up with an eye toward performance in a large transaction environment (~2TB). (1% or 2% of the job) Description & Requirements: Will design & develop SQL Server2008 database applications. Will write complex Transact SQL (T-SQL) queries and develop complex joins, indexes, data transformation services (DTS), SQL Server Integration services (SSIS), triggers, and stored procedures. Will address table partitioning, data extraction, transformation and validation of SQL queries. Will also do some data warehouse oriented analysis. Skills needed: Object oriented programming SQL Server ADO.Net LINQ VB.Net or C#.net Need a good knowledge of the .Net framework, architecture, distributed computing and usability. You will need experience with virtual machines, multi-threading WIN applications and windows services. Some knowledge of Microsoft Team System 2008/2010. ...UML and analysis diagrams. Should have managed own time and projects. Knowledge of the following tools is helpful: Access & VBA. SQL Server database development, data warehouse and Datamart design is really helpful. The environment: Windows XP, SQL Server 2008, VB.net/C#.net 2005/2008, XML, Access 2003, VBA, .Net framework 3.5/4.0, DevExpress components.
