Bachelor?s Degree required. MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred, with at least 3 years of related business/financial experience.
Job Description: This role will provide support for the PGRD Partner Lines - Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Safety Research & Development, and Development Operations. The analyst will be provide support for all financial aspects including economic modeling, decision support, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control for the financial area supported.
Specific responsibilities include: - Business analysis and business counseling -- develop a broad understanding of research and development financial and operational issues, to provide critical business analyses to senior management including economic modeling, return on investment resource optimization, productivity analysis, cost savings identification, implementation support and tracking, etc. - Reporting ? regular, monthly and ad hoc reports; to include actual results, comparison to established target levels, and forecasted estimates. Will include identification of variances and the operational drivers analysis, defining implications to the business and suggested actions. - Budget Development ?prepare and submit the annual budget, including funding levels, capital planning and the categorization and timing of spend. - Forecasting ? responsible for ongoing analysis of spend and the identification of variances and changes in requirements. - Compliance ?responsible for ensuring compliance with financial accounting and control principles and policy compliance. Supports activities relating to internal corporate accounting and finance systems. Ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal policies - Month End - Processes monthly transactions to the general ledger.
