Job Description: Our client has an IMMEDIATE need for a Senior Programmer Analyst in Jackson, MS for an assignment of up to 3 years. Job Description and Duties ? Analyze functions of programs and subsystems to incorporate system modifications including: correct program logic, subroutines, techniques, etc., and enhance, modify, or change the system to satisfy client business needs and requirements ? Assist with improving system performance and integrating user-derived functionality and management directives ? Document all changes, modifications, and new development projects according to client standards; all changes and modifications applied to the computer programs must adhere to client MIS standards. ? Re-design and implement the client enforcement and tracking support system interest accruing process ? Design, develop, and implement a database backup and purge process ? Modify client enforcement and tracking support system to incorporate a new graphic user interface (GUI) front-end ? Analyze, re-design, and re-program functions to automate manual processes, including case closure, fee processing, and e-mail address updates via the client website for employers and case participants ? Perform required analysis to identify problems with current interfaces between multiple client systems, document possible resolutions, and develop and implement selected options.
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: Minimum of 10 years experience in Natural programming language, JCL in an IBM environment and ADABAS in an IBM environment. Minimum of 6 years experience in the analysis, design, and programming of large or complex development projects on large-scale mainframe system. Minimum of 4 years experience in automated child support systems. Minimum of 3 years of the following: ? Ability to provide subject matter expertise on system architecture ? Ability to provide recommendations regarding enhancements to the systems and processes ? Experience developing, maintaining and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes ? Experience training end users on software Additional Experience Requirements: ? Strong ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing ? Strong time management skills, presentation and facilitation skills ? Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems ? Ability to conceive and/or develop creative solutions and possess strong problem-solving skills Additional Requirements: ? All work to be performed on the client site ? Ability to work overtime as required ? Attend regularly scheduled meetings onsite Preference will be given to candidates with the following: ? Knowledge of child support policies and procedures, and current state and federal mandates as implemented or similar to those in the tracking and support system ?
