Urgently Required for One of our Top Clients Located in El Segundo CA
Title : PeopleSoft DBA
Location : El Segundo CA
Duration : Direct Hire
· Hands on PeopleSoft database and application administration experience (including payroll) having provided production support, design review, tuning guidelines and software maintenance
· Proficient in Oracle Backup and Recovery (include RMAN)
· Complex problem resolution that requires significant involvement with vendor support teams.
· The individual must present recommendations related to PeopleSoft configurations to the application support teams, and convince them of appropriateness of the configuration.
· Understands both technical and business concepts and processes
· Skilled in project management, technical knowledge, business, consultation and dealing with complexity
· Proven problem solving, planning and organizational skills
· Willing to develop inherent leadership skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Providing support for enterprise and global applications
· this includes language issues
· character set representation
· time zone conflicts
· and true 24x7 support
· Ability to provide 24/7 application and database support as necessary
· Manage multiple complex tasks, while prioritizing requests from the application support team
· Resolve problems that may include significant involvement with vendor support teams
· Make decisions effectively in context to corporate policy and direction
· The individual must provide courteous support and troubleshooting for users experiencing system failures.
Requirements:
· Experience and specific training or certification for PeopleSoft database and application administration
· Min. 5-7 years working as a PeopleSoft DBA
Interview Process: A technical interview by phone (approximately 30 minutes) will be done first. If the candidate passes the phone interview a FACE-TO-FACE interview will be required.
