Job Description: Job Title: Principal IT Architect and Consultant Location: New Jersey
BASIC PURPOSE - Assist Sales Team in the pre sales process for various opportunities as a Technology SME (Subject Matter Expert). - Responsible for architecture and design of IT solutions to address client priorities and business needs. - Apply your GDM (Global Delivery Model) experience with off-shore and domestic development teams to leverage organization's capabilities. - Manage client technology expectations and work with onsite & remote technology and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation from a technology perspective. - Assist in establishing and sustaining partnerships/alliances with technology vendors.

- Provide solutions/technology/product consulting, system deployment, and sales support in a delivery leadership role. - Understand client specific requirements and create solutions. - Recommend/defend technology strategy for engagements along with Cost-Benefit Analysis - Handle Client interactions independently. - Evaluate solution options and make recommendations to clients. - Prepare in-depth and high-level technology and product presentations, white papers and case studies for field distribution and presentation to clients. - Key contributor to customer RFI, RFP and RFQ initiatives. - Interact with CXO level and make presentations. - Review plans, architecture and strategies. - Lend a high-touch consultative approach to the selling process. - Contribute to business and technology vision and direction by influencing strategies and monitoring execution of major technology endeavors. - Demonstrate skills as a SME and convince client regarding the validity and approach of the solution. - Involvement in taking a project through envisioning and design. - Manage and supervise the delivery of tech engagements and be the first point of contact for any client escalation. - Contribute in creation of go-to market strategy for the new solutions/offerings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering; - 10 to 15 years of experience in delivering complex ADM (Application Delivery Model) in a GDM environment. - Strong Application Development Background. - Should have done Application Architecture Definition, Tech Strategy consulting assignments. - Well versed is standard methodologies, frameworks, SDLC and other quality processes. - Experience in solution definition, effort estimation, proposal pricing, proposal preparation and client presentation. - Ability to engage with CXO level. - Strong business communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. - Should have exposure to Product Evaluation/Comparison. - Practitioner of Enterprise Architecture models and patterns. - Ability to analyze relative strengths of various standards, technologies.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - Excellent understanding and exposure to areas in Open Systems: .Net, J2EE, EAI/SOA, BPM, Portals. - Good Understanding of tools, technology trends in the above mention space. - Possess excellent communication, listening and presentation skills, extremely enthusiastic, motivated, entrepreneurial and aggressive, strong negotiation skills, closing skills, diligent follow-up skills, flexibility, willingness to work in an unstructured environment, openness, less control, ability to work within a culturally diverse environment.
