JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a unique opportunity as a permanent, full-time position with a leading Cincinnati area company as a DB2 DBA. In this role you will administer, test, implement, support and maintain relational databases in a multi-platform environment utilizing AIX, Linux, and Windows. Knowledge of Redhat Linux is a must! You will be identifying, testing and deploying all database technologies and support tools, ensuring system improvements are successfully implemented. You will be responsible for verifying all data to be entered into database meets set standards and requirements, and also design, enter, and audit large, complex databases. This is a leadership role toothers to identify, test and resolve complex database performance issues (e.g., monitoring and tuning).

Requirements:
REQUIRED/MANDATORY SKILLS:
Five years of experience as a DB2 DBA, including demonstrated knowledge and use of Redhat Linux.
DESIRED/OPTIONAL SKILLS:
Proven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions. Proven knowledge of disaster recovery processes and concepts. Proven experience in database system design and analysis, including physical and logical entity and relationship data modeling.
