Job Description:
Fast growing company is seeking a Sr. Cisco Engineer.
* 5+ years experience in a multi-site, 500+ node environment
* Implementation and support of geographically dispersed networks
* Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
* Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs.
* Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
* Perform network design and capacity planning
* Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
* Administer all equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
* Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
* Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
* Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
* Writing formal postmortems for production problems and providing feedback to architecture and development teams
* Follow standard operating procedures while maintaining validated servers and hardware.
* Oversee the maintenance / monitoring of systems within environment to ensure optimal performance, to determine system upgrade/replacement schedules, and to meet established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.
* Operate network management and monitoring tools to identify and assist in resolving potential security, reliability, and capacity and performance issues.

Requirements:
* 5+ years experience in a corporate, multi-site, 500+ node environment
* Architect and deployment of geographically dispersed networks
* MPLS experience preferred.
* Experience with ISA 2004 servers.
* Site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions (IPSec and SSL)
* Cisco VPN Concentrator Experience.
* Deployment of centralized network authentication and logging systems
* Experience with VLAN and PVLAN design, 802.1x,
* STP, and other layer 2 controls
* Advanced work with layer 3-7 controls such as firewalls and application proxies, and services such as DNS, DHCP, SNMP
* Layer 3 routing/control/HA mechanisms (OSPF, BGP, HSRP)
* Experience troubleshooting and optimizing network application flows such as VoIP, file transfer, email, etc.
* Experience implementing LAN and WAN QoS
* Change control (device updates and patch mgmt., reconfigure. etc.)
* Multi-vendor experience (Cisco, Dell, IBM, etc.)
