JOB TITLE: TEAM LEADER ˇV DDX
REPORTS TO: DDX PROJECT MANAGER
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES:
PROGRAMMERS
BASIC OBJECTIVE (SUMMARY) OF POSITION
Responsible for completing the detail design and development of the DDX proprietary application. This application will be the strategic platform used to support the ˇ§black boxˇ¨ functions of the DDX / CAS project. Individual is expected to work closely with the DDX Technology project manager and architect and other SMEs to complete the detail design of the components of DDX, which will be a newly designed and developed application. Individual would manage DDX team programmer analysts as well as work directly on the designs and their subsequent development and testing. The management tasks would include providing technical guidance and reviewing programmers work product (designs, code, test plans and documentation). Position requires working and coordinating efforts with other DDX teams and IT and business users.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities include:
?« Work with SMEs to understand the current DDX / CAS business and technology requirements
?« Understand the details of the current functions of SAS relating to the DDX proprietary functions (e.g. Account Allocation and interest rate tier processing).
?« Analyze and complete detail designs for proprietary components on a new platform
?« Analyze details of daily and End of Month process flows, and complete detail design for integration of the CAS and DDX applications to accommodate these flows
?« Work with DBAs to complete design of DDX DB2 data model and integration / synchronization design with CAS components
?« Participate in and lead technical team of analysts/programmers to design and develop DDX application
?« Manage offshore resources as indicated to complete development tasks
?« Provide QA team with design details to facilitate their preparation of DDX and CAS test plans
?« Communicate status at regular intervals to team and DDX management.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES OR INFORMATION
Requirements:
?« Requires 3- 5 years of working knowledge and hands-on experience in IBM/AIX, DB2, C++
?« Knowledge of Mainframe and Server-based RDBMS.
?« Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Visio.
?« In depth knowledge & experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
?« Must have 5 years of leading teams of 3 or more individuals.
?« Strong analytics capabilities to design comprehensive and well architected solutions
?« Strong interpersonal skills to work within all levels of the IT organization within and outside of the project team
