LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Looking for a Support Analyst to provide trade support and technology management for the global support model in the Futures Trading space. The platform couples technology and business specialists together in order to provide solutions to internal customer requests while leveraging development resources in problem resolution and business stability. SUMMARY * Provide a mission critical response to daily trading issues through investigation and problem solving techniques.
* Liaison between development and business teams in order to improve the quality of the system and its applications.
* Incorporate personal knowledge in the development of support tools and efficiencies that will be used by the team for daily or specific events.
* Analyze impact of proposed solutions while interacting with the business to raise awareness of current technology deployments.
* Take a self starter approach to designing new procedures and policy regarding the program trading environment.
* Effectively communicate and escalate issues between the business and team members in order to ensure proper handling of issues is provided.
Experience Level:
4 Years
Requirements:
* College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience
* Minimum two years of relevant work experience
* Strong knowledge of futures products and work flows
* Strong Unix skill set
* Knowledge of shell scripting and perl a plus
* Strong SQL/Sybase skills
* Problem solver
* Front office support
* Ability to manage projects and drive change
* Constantly looking for efficiencies
* Experience implementing monitoring methods and alerts
* Willingness to constantly learn dynamic work flows of an ever-changing technology and trading environment.
* Intimate familiarity of the Unix and Windows environments
* Scripting experience in Linux/Unix environment - Perl, etc.
* Knowledge of SQL preferred.
* The ability to build relationships across multiple platforms throughout the business
* Strong MS Office skills with an emphasis on MS Excel knowledge
