Reference Number: 09-00954 Job Description: NO AGENCIES PLEASE LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY C++ Developer for Order Management System We are looking for a STRONG C++ Developer to work in our OMS team. This team is responsible for developing cutting edge software for trading purposes with the most important feature being `time to market` This position is located in Warren, New Jersey. We work jointly with Automated Trading Technologies which is a Investment Bank owned company located in South Carolina. Project involves hands on C++ coding on the OMS on various initiatives that focus on reducing system latencies and increasing fault tolerance. The main focus of the team is to produce high quality software and minimize time to market. Your initial learning would be - * Learn programming environment. * Learn the basics of trading systems and methods. Your work would involve - * Improve the reliability, fault-tolerance and performance of OMS system * Design and implement, as a team member, new components of the trading infrastructure * Enhance our exchange connectivity module which mostly deals with fix protocols and connects with various order execution venues Experience Level: Unspecified Requirements: * Strong knowledge of C++ to include STL and Templates * Familiar with Unix as a development platform in general Linux in particular * Strong Object Oriented Programming Concepts The following skills would be a plus: * Event driven programming * Real-time processing * Corba * ACE * TAO Personality/Interpersonal Qualities: * Ability to manage, organize and direct your own work time. * Self-directed with project management skills * Plays well with others *Customer oriented and has the ability to take and give constructive criticism * Maintains strong team oriented attitude * Good analytical and problem solving abilities * Desires to enhance knowledge * Enjoys challenges.
