Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.
Investment Bank Prepaid Services is looking for a dynamic IT Production Support Engineer to join its team. Investment Bank Prepaid Services offers technology-based payment solutions to support client marketing programs, employee incentives and payroll programs. Our IT development team leverages utilizes Open Source J2EE/Tomcat, Struts, Spring framework, messaging technologies, web services, SQL Server and cutting-edge enterprise integration solutions to support a service oriented architecture.
Position Description:
The IT Production Support Engineer will serve as the primary resource for supporting our internal and external clients and systems.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Manage the maintenance and support of applications and their operating environments, focusing on Stability, Quality, and Functionality against Service Level expectations
- Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner
- Partner with business and technology counterparts building trust and forging strong relations
- Ensure the availability of applications for the client and oversee problem management and resolution
Experience Level:
4 Years
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A can-do attitude
- Strong system troubleshooting skills
- Strong working knowledge of Java technologies, XML, SQL, SOAP, and J2EE
- Past leadership/management experience a must.
Additional position requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be highly organized and responsible with a results oriented mind set
- Ability to work with clients, customers, and team members in a professional, business-like manner
Preferred Characteristics:
- Knowledge of internet technology
- Familiarity with credit and debit card markets and products
