Title/Role: Operations / Infrastructure Analyst
Job Description:
- Services internal clients by providing operations analysis, consultation, documentation and production implementation services for either a new/changed application, application reports, or application-specific forms under IT guidelines.
- Assesses client production needs and either assists or obtains the resources to assist in production implementation and ongoing support of the client's system/reports/forms.
- Reviews operations documentation including user guides to ensure existence of such documentation along with accuracy and usefulness.
- Checks new releases, upgrades for no adverse affect to other systems.
- Liaison between departments for change control processes, successful production turnover.
- May estimate development work, AFE preparation.
- Assumes on-call responsibilities as appropriate.
- Document, track, and monitor a problem to ensure a timely resolution via an enterprise ticketing system
- Monitor incident details, including configuration items affected via enterprise ticketing system
- Monitor, troubleshoot and correct application, server and network problems. Monitor for alarm conditions and respond appropriately when fault is detected
- Follow escalation procedures and communicate issues clearly to both technical and non-technical individuals
- Incident and problem investigation and diagnosis (including resolution where possible)
- Act as a restoration team member during major incidents
- Document, track, and monitor infrastructure change to ensure a timely and error free infrastructure change execution.
- Monitor change details, including configuration items affected via enterprise change system
- Enforce system and network security procedures
