Job Description:
The Enterprise Planning and Control Architect will report Enterprise Planning and Control Manager. This role will be accountable for enterprise core services as defined by the EPC Manager and the design and implementing of any new enterprise class distributed services to meet business requirements as needed. This includes assessments of new planning products and methods. Participates in the development of appropriate support methodologies and maintenance procedures. Participates in the development of processes and procedures for all enterprise class distributed technology. The ability to effectively communicate with Team members, peers, vendors, and customers verbally and in written form is critical.
Position Responsibilities:
Projects Provides technical expertise to peers and associates on overall distributed enterprise architecture and design. Provide technical assistance and escalation to Application Support teams Provide expertise in Capacity Planning efforts for all IT support systems Actively participate in Problem Management escalation and resolution Actively participate in Enterprise Architecture design and implementation, insuring overall strategy compliance Provide technical support for the Service Request process Participate in IT Infrastructure Planning Provide expertise in the design and implementation of Enterprise Core Services, including Antivirus Protection, Network Printing, and Desktop environment definition and testing Utilizes expertise in all aspects of distributed system large scale enterprise architecture. Works with the other IT groups and maintains a good level of communication. Assist in developing and maintaining strategies that result in efficient and effective use of enterprise core services Maintain expertise in the area of IT enterprise services, Enterprise Data Security, Large scale Desktop asset control methodologies. Assure that IT physical planning principles and standards are applied and perform related work as required. Experience with IT physical infrastructure environments, Data Center hardware platforms and complex infrastructure environments. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to understand business requirements and translate into complex distributed enterprise architecture deliverables. Thorough knowledge of current distributed architecture and software solutions. Experience in Data Center multi-platform environments. Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to meet business needs. Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work individually or in a team environment. Strong conceptual and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail.
Maintenance Support · As needed and defined by the EPC Manager · Lifting ? up to 5% Requirements - Essential Knowledge and Skills: Minimum of 4 years experience in enterprise Technology Architecture, 8 years experience in IT. Must have detailed experience in DHCP, DNS, Proxy, Active Directory, Internet Access, and Novell Operating Systems. Must have demonstrated examples of providing Root Cause Analysis. Understanding and support of systems utilizing 802.X technology. Experience in supporting multiple handheld platforms, including PDAs and laptops. Must have demonstrated experience in Clustering and SAN storage. Demonstrated experience in Security technologies, including AntiVirus/Malware protection, forensic tools, and other state of the art methodologies. Proven success in implementing and maintaining an Asset Management program for a large enterprise. Demonstrated successful implementation of remote software delivery and remote patching enterprise solution.
