Our client is an international company growing substantially and establishing a comprehensive BI initiative. Great opportunity for a MS SQL Database Admin in a newly created position on a small team with very low turn over! We are working directly with the hiring manager.
ROLE
MS SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
A skilled Database Administrator responsible for defining, designing and specifying database access, structure, functional capabilities, documentation, security, backup and recovery of several databases used across the organization. Understanding how software application development affects databases is of critical importance.
REQUIRED
-- 3-5 years experience with MS SQL 2005/2008
-- Must have experience with MYSQL
-- Must have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (Development to Test, Test to Production)
-- Must have experience working in Windows environments.
-- Must have working knowledge of IP networking
-- Must be detail oriented and a strong team player
-- Experience gathering business requirements and turning them into detailed functional design specifications.
-- Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly
-- 3+ years of hands on experience with the Application Development
-- Programming experience with SQL & PL/SQL
-- Ability to balance flexibility and task priorities to best meet the frequent demands of multiple internal customers
-- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
-- Strong Analytical and quantitative skills
-- Ability to work both autonomously and cooperatively within a fast-paced environment
-- BA or BS degree
DESIRED
-- Experience with Postgres, DB2, DB2CM
-- Experience with SSIS and SSRS
-- Knowledge of the following: .NET Framework, Apache, IIS and Sharepoint 2010
