Job Description:
COOK SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL has an IMMEDIATE need for a AS/400 PROGRAMMER/ANALYST/SYNON (Fusion 2E).
Job Description/Responsibilities:
AS/400 PROGRAMMER/ANALYST with SYNON (Fusion 2E) and ideally with RPG also.
MUST HAVE 5 years minimum experience with SYNON . This person should be able to provide performance tuning and backup, however, 60% of his responsibility will be programming.
Needs to be a Team player , with very good communication skills.
Prerequisites:
Committed to maintaining a safe working environment.
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Must possess 5 plus years application development experience using RPG and CL.
In-depth knowledge of AS/400 database management.
Experience with ERP software is desired and manufacturing experience is a plus.
Should be proficient in Query and/or SQL tools.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Organized, goal-oriented, results driven and excellent time management skills
Have well-developed analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
Responsibilities:
Lead and direct all phases of application development lifecycle.
Database management, design, and development of RDBMS
Develop new enhancements and maintain existing functionality for our legacy ERP system.
Work with users to understand current business practices and develop automated tools and solutions to improve efficiency.
Create and maintain documentation of existing and future systems
Work with other IT staff and/or vendors as required in order to resolve issues
Experience in a heavy industrial job setting, steel application knowledge is a plus.
Team oriented
AS/400 Hardware/system knowledge is a plus.
