Job Description:
COOK SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL has an IMMEDIATE need for a IT Inventory Specialist .
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Improve productivity and maximize ROI by minimizing IT hardware and software costs.
Develop and implement inventory control management processes and procedures.
Identify and develop tools (if required), training methods, processes and procedures to insure best practices in IT Asset inventory control and management.
Assist management to define requirements and help source asset discovery and repository tool set that supports core processes.
Expert user of Asset Management tools to track assets and analyze data if required.
Conduct inventories and reconcile all technology assets.
Optimize asset control and inventory management processes to track accountability identification, location, maintenance, contracts and lifecycle status.
Participate in procurement activities and negotiation as required.
Effectively manage asset disposal agreements and related processes including disposal of aged assets.
Work with company staff and management to develop and maintain positive relationships with third party entities.
Work with procurement to identify hardware and software to be purchased.
Receive, track and deploy assets to Desktop team for setup.
Retrieve assets when no longer in use or ready for disposal.
Interface with Fixed Assets department when necessary to notify when assets move and or disposed of.

Required Skills/Experience:
Four year degree or at least an associate degree with 3-4 years of experience working in IT
1-3 years of IT inventory control and management experience.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, and Access
Strong working knowledge of Windows OS: XP and 2000
Strong inclination toward break/fix IT hardware including PC, laptop, printer and multi-functional unit.
Solid project management skills, effectively manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.
Strong inventory control and management background including tool sets.
Ability to solve problems independently, quickly and completely and to communicate to management.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
