Job Description: Build, configure, deploy, support, and maintain SUN servers running Solaris and HP servers running Microsoft Windows; as well as hosted applications from an OS perspective. ? Support Citrix, Active Directory, VMWare ESX, Terminal Server, Patchlink, etc. ? Assist with SQL, Oracle, and various Middleware products support ? Resolve complex hardware and software integration issues, interfacing with database administration, software development, network support personnel, and vendors to coordinate solutions ? Provide guidance to junior level staff when necessary ? Create periodic status reports for management
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: ?æ Senior Level experience with most of the following: Scripting (Bsh, Ksh, Perl, etc.), Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Volume Mgr., Oracle, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, PeopleSoft, SFTP, Disaster Recovery, storage/disk arrays, Sun Solaris (versions 8, 9, 10), Sun Hardware (e.g. SunFire, Enterprise Class) ?æ Strong experience in Windows 2000/2003 Administration and HP/Compaq Proliant servers (e.g. Proliant DL320-DL585) ?æ Solid Knowledge of various software: IIS, Citrix Presentation Server, MS Terminal Server, Active Directory, HP Insight Mgr., Windows Clustering, VMWare,, Veritas NetBackup, Oracle, MS SQL, SharePoint, Websphere, Metastorm, Server, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Patchlink, ODBC, FTP, TCP/IP, Shell Scripts, HTML, and Java ?æ Possess technical knowledge in various disciplines to resolve complex infrastructure integration issues and problems ?æ Able to handle mid to large projects with some guidance and interface with various vendors to coordinate resolution to both hardware and software problems ?æ Able to interface with the development staff, database administration group, network operations staff, area support personnel, and the users of the applications/systems
EDUCATION >> Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university or the equivalent experience Five years of experience servicing and supporting Open Systems environments with emphasis on Sun Solaris and Microsoft Windows
