Job Description:
The candidate filling this position will be responsible for working with Development leads in the high level systems design/ architecture and full-scale development of the system. The candidate will perform in a server-side developer role, and will also be responsible for writing requirements/ technical specifications. The person is expected to demonstrate expertise in Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring Framework, JBoss JBPM, Servlets, Multi-threading concepts, Session management concepts, JUnit, XML, XML Schemas, OOAD, UML, n-Tier Architecture based development activities, J2EE application server experience pertaining to deployment/ maintenance activities (Jakarta Tomcat, JBoss), Oracle, TOAD, and Eclipse IDE. The candidate is expected to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This candidate may work on various engineering tasks including benchmarking and configuring of hardware devices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
* Participate in design/ architecture meetings.
* Apply industry standard analysis, architecture, and development techniques, including Use Cases where appropriate, to assist in providing optimum solutions.
* Development Efforts * design, coding, testing, debugging, quality assurance review, and appropriate documentation.
* Demonstrating strong problem solving ability, logic, and analytical skills.
* Interacting with other areas within for providing automated interface points via web services and other technologies.
* Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
* Maintaining team spirit and a positive attitude.
* Perform comprehensive preliminary testing and producing all entrance criteria documentation required to promote products under development to SQA.
* Strong technical knowledge in accessing a relational database is required (Oracle 9i/ 10g strongly preferred). This position will also devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems.
* Strong knowledge and experience with OOAD, Design Patterns, Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring Framework, XML, Internet-based applications, n-tier architecture, and SQL.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate must have 6+ years of total programming experience with at least 4 years programming experience in JAVA, required knowledge and working experience of Oracle or SQL, progressively diverse analysis, development, and testing experience using J2EE and XML technologies. The person must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge as well as have significant experience with the technologies outlined above.
* Experience with JBoss jBPM technologies is highly desirable and a major plus.
* Experience with Oracle 9i and/ or Oracle 10g a major plus.
* Experience with Sybase Power Designer a major plus.
* Experience with TOAD a plus.
* Experience with SQL Loader is highly desirable and a major plus.
* Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties.

EDUCATION:
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, with coursework in the information processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
