Job Description:
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
? Designing, modifying, and implementing systems using advanced multiple platform techniques, database, and structured design techniques and systems technologies
? Analyzing, designing, modifying and implementing complex cost effective projects/systems.
? Preparing and maintaining detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
? Performing program analysis, design, test planning, implementation from specifications, and writing/reviewing documentation.
? Performing quality assurance review.
? Completing assigned projects on time and assuring user satisfaction.
? Working closely with project manager and/or Team Leaders on software releases by tracking tasks, milestones, and budgets.
? Interacting with technical and research staff in other areas to bring R&D-type projects into production.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate must have six years of diverse experience in positions requiring knowledge and use of information processing technology, have worked as part of a team on a large project, have attention to detail, be a self-starter and be able to work independently. The ideal candidate must also have a high level of technical skill, knowledge and experience with client server architecture and technologies, at least 5 years of non-PFC PowerBuilder experience with extensive use of PowerBuilder 9 or 10 scripting language, full life-cycle project experience (including planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and system support activities), experience writing design specifications and test plans for others to use, experience working from design specifications, experience using NT, Windows 2000, and XP OS, and experience with Oracle and SQL. Knowledge and experience with statistics, Java, database triggers, stored procedures, XML, and earlier versions of non-PFC PowerBuilder is a plus, but not required.

EDUCATION:
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, with coursework in the information processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
