Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: System Engineers are responsible for the management, backup and monitoring of the Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange 2007 technologies which include Access Controls, Active Directory, Blackberry, Goodlink, Exchange 2007, Ironmail, Outlook Web Access, RightFax, Trend ScanMail. The main focus for the position is Active Directory and Exchange 2007. Responsible for shared 7x24 coverage of the infrastructure and applications - will require after-hours and on-call responsibilities.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Exchange 2007 and Active Directory Infrastructure
Support and maintenance of development and production systems including incident management, patch management, security management
Problem management and root cause analysis
Automating repetitive system management tasks
Systems analysis and capacity planning
Work closely with our helpdesk and desktop support to resolve issues beyond their technical capabilities and improve their skills

Experience Level:
5+ Years

Requirements:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

Project management
Systems troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated/self-directing
Knowledge of switching and routing
Solid understanding of firewalls, clustering and load balancing for high availability
Application of operating system security

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years Windows Server Management in Large Systems Environments
Strong Exchange 2003/2007 background in enterprise class environments with 5,000+ mailboxes
Multiple Domain/Forest Active Directory Experience
Programming experience & knowledge a definite plus (VB & Power Shell)
MCSE & other certifications a plus
