Reference Number: 12901mg Job Description: Senior Unix/C/C++ Software Developers NYC financial firm is seeking senior Unix/C/C++ developers to work on real time Futures trading platform. The position requires writing C/C++ code for distributed multi-threaded applications. Currently the system supports trading on over 20 Commodities/Futures exchanges worldwide. Exchanges include LIFFE,EUREX,CME,CBOT among others and list is growing. The candidate will be involved in designing/architecting Trading and Futures. System to make it more scalable/robust. Successful candidate should possess effective communication skills to interact with team members, other groups and business users. Qualifications * 6+ years of experience in programming in C/C++/Unix on real time systems. * Strong knowledge of C++ and experience in designing object oriented systems. * Experience with network protocols like TCP/IP and multi-threading. * Experience with FIX protocol is a plus. * Ability to coach/mentor team members.
