Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Programming Manager oversees all programming and interface components of webplatforms. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong SQL/Access
Programming skills, and a strong ability to manage to strict timelines. This position is responsible for maintaining and updating the proprietary firm platforms and potentially managing the market research software platform for custom and syndicated market research.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Managed Care Database Maintenance (15%):
1) Database Development ? Develops, in accordance with the Database Administrator,
tables, queries, reports and enhancements to proprietary managed care database.
2) System Innovation and Product Development ? Contributes to enhancing value to clients by participating in development planning and makes recommendations toward
enhancements including recruitment process enhancements.
Prior Authorization Tracking Tool (PATT) (20%):
1) Database and Web Interface Development ? Develops custom web interfaces for
clients including, but not limited to: branding, appropriate restrictions for access to specific drug information, and access to specific business line data (Commercial, Medicare,Medicaid).
a. Provides appropriate documentation of processes and programming
specifications
b. Ensures quality control for all data performing routine review of data pushes
2) Database and Web Interface Maintenance and Improvement ? Routinely reviews
processes and systems to ensure efficiency and automation.
3) System Innovation and Product Development ? Contributes to enhancing value to clients by participating in development planning and makes recommendations toward
enhancements.
Managed Care Message Monitor (MCMM) (35%):
1) Database and Web Interface Development ? Develops additional web-based reports,
queries, and processes for MCMM clients including, but not limited to: branding,
appropriate restrictions for access to specific therapeutic areas.
a. Provides appropriate documentation of processes and programming
specifications
b. Ensures quality control for all data labeling
2) Database Maintenance and Improvement ? Routinely reviews processes and systems to ensure efficiency and automation
3) System Innovation and Product Development ? Contributes to enhancing value to clients by participating in development planning and makes recommendations toward
enhancements
Primary Market Research Platform (20%):
1) Platform Maintenance ? Maintains primary market research platform which may include developing a proprietary platform, managing a licensed platform, programming actual surveys, and/or managing a platform vendor.
2) System Innovation and Development ? Works with subject matter experts to craft system improvements when capturing primary market research data. Improvements include, but are not limited to: improving exporting capabilities, removing process steps to analyzing data, and optimizing PowerPoint interface integration.
Vendor Management (10%) - Oversees implementation and serves as liaison between
any data, programming, or IT resource vendors
Any other duties as defined by the management team.
