Job Description:
A manufacturer of seals for a wide range of industries and applications. This company has manufacturing operations in North America, Europe and Asia. The company is located in Columbia, SC and manufactures metal seals for the nuclear, aerospace and chemical processing industries.

Design test and implement new products in support of growth initiatives.

Ensure design for manufacturability.

Manage building and testing of prototype parts and tools.

Supports design and process changes on existing products.

Develop product test methods, perform testing and document results.

Ability to work independently and as member of a cross-functional team in pursuing assigned initiatives to a successful and timely conclusion.

Experience Level:
3 Years

Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

3+ years experience in a product design role

Knowledgable in material stress and strain behavior as they pertain to sheet metal fabrication

Excellent problem solving skills.

Self starter with ability to effectively handle multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent.

Aerospace background a plus.
Experience in the design and fabrication of sheet metal products a plus.

60k - 68k
