Job Description:
SDS Resources is seeking a highly qualified Electrical Engineer to join the newest division of a well-established corporation in Kansas. This candidate must have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, and be professionally licensed, or working towards obtaining professional registration. We require 3-8 years of experience and a strong background in the power plant industry. Experience with substation design is preferred.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Engineering calculations including short circuit analysis, load flow analysis, motor starting analysis
Preparation of electrical engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual designs
Assisting the Lead Engineer in planning, scheduling, analyzing scope, budgeting reviewing and coordinating design efforts with other project personnel
Researching and analyzing data such as EPC contract, customer RFP, Bibb professional services agreements, specifications, manuals, and other information
Working with client and/or contractor to coordinate the resolution of problems, reviewing engineering progress, etc.
Design activities to include one-lines, three-lines, and other electrical deliverables.
Development of electrical equipment specifications.
Electrical equipment supplier bid evaluations.
Production of control schematics and wiring interconnections.
Assigning projects and tasks to drafters, designers and other engineers. Reviewing work progress and results.
