Job Description:
SDS Resources is in need of a Structural Engineer to perform structural design of steel and reinforced concrete power plant structures.
This Engineer must have experience with the following:
Designing foundations for structures and equipment.
Preparing and checking detailed engineering calculations.
Developing and coordinating production of engineering design drawings.
Reviewing vendor data and fabrication details.
Preparing preliminary studies and cost estimates.
Developing engineering manpower projections.
Interfacing with design and construction team members, clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Requirements:
Desired Qualifications shall include:
Civil/Structural engineering degree from an accredited university.
Minimum five years of recent experience designing heavy industrial steel and concrete structures and foundations.
Proficient in structural software program STAAD.
Proficient in use of the AISC, ACI, ASCE-7 and IBC Codes.
Self motivated, organized, results oriented, able to work proficiently both as part of a team and independently.
Experience in fossil power plant design and retrofit a strong plus.
Professional Registration is highly desirable.
