Job Description: Midtown Manhattan Consumer Products organization, in business for 60 years, seeks articulate, self motivated team player to focus on the following role: --Assist Executive VP with all correspondence, reports, and presentations --Maintain departmental projects list and due dates, follow up with individuals to ensure timely completion --Schedule EVP?s travel, make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and conferences --Prepare, distribute, and update EVP?s monthly calendar --Prepare reports and correspondence on business issues for presentation to senior management and owners ? must be able to compose correspondence for VP?s signature based on discussions, meetings, and research --Review EVP?s email when he is traveling, read back to him by phone as needed and prepare responses; must be able to type from extemporaneous dictation by phone and read back text with corrections and suggestions --Keep record of projects due from Accounting and IT departments, noting individuals responsible and due dates; follow up to ensure timely completion --Prepare Power Point presentations of financial and business matters for use at meetings; must be able to work independently, but must also be flexible enough to accept requests for changes --Ad hoc projects; these may include research, presentations, or financial reporting; most will involve developing written analyses for presentation to senior management under the signature of the VP Admin --Participate in discussions regarding confidential matters in preparation for constructing reports or analyses of available options/steps to be taken; MUST be able to maintain confidentiality! --Organize time efficiently and keep departmental projects "in sight" by means of timely follow-up and status reporting. --Compensation: $85k to $95k.
Experience Level: 4 Years
Requirements: --4 Years of experience in an Accounting/Financial office required. --Bachelors Degree. --Strong analytical and problem-solving skills --Excellent verbal and written communication skills --General knowledge of accounting procedures. --Familiar with Income Statements and Balance Sheets. --Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint; knowledge of Access. Great Plains a plus. --Knowledge of Internet: able to conduct online research --Strong organizational and follow-up skills --Ability to construct reports and correspondence based on meetings and discussions --Creativity in constructing and developing presentations --Flexibility in re-prioritizing work and accepting tight-deadline projects --Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
