A Mobile, Alabama facility is in need of a IT Project Manager. This is a direct hire positon. Excellent benefits.
A basic description of the job is listed below:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing IT and software development projects through there complete software life-cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support. Create and maintain an information technology project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation. Oversee the efforts of any contractors that may be performing efforts on the assigned tasks. Coordinate delivery of development (beta) and production releases that meet quality assurance standards. Assist test team in creating test plans and testing efforts. Act as the single point of contact between management and the contractor(s) chosen to execute IT and software development projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creates and executes project plans / work breakdown structures and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Qualifications:
Extensive experience in managing enterprise IT project life cycle through all phases.
In-depth knowledge and experience in cost management, time management, risk management, and integration management.
Experienced in IT project budget analysis, outsourcing strategies, and contract management.
Experience in project oversight and independent validation & verification (IV&V).
Strong technical background in systems architecture, database design, and network administration.
Solid skills in writing proposals, biding projects, and winning contracts.
Proven ability to deliver high quality IT products and services on schedule and under budget.
Excellent interpersonal skills in communications, client relations, and negotiation.
Education:
BS in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent studies
Experience:
10+ years of project management experience
