Job Description: Our Client is in search of a Senior SAS Architect / Administrator to support project development and system sustaining work on the enterprise Business Intelligence team. Candidate will join a fast-paced environment to deliver critical strategic and operating insights to key business executives and decision makers. SAS Focus 1. Provide leadership and direction as it relates to design and implementation for the SAS platform 2. Technical Lead and global point of contact for all SAS Administrator related projects and activities. 3. Own and drive the SAS Product patching and release upgrade activity and act as liaison to SAS for any support issues 4. Provide maintenance and support for SAS products during deployment, upgrade and any changes to SAS products and/ or during other enterprise activities that impact SAS infrastructure 5. Manage and track SAS products inventory and license updates for SAS servers and end users 6. Establish best practices for administering and interpreting sources of data 7. Provide all levels of technical and application support; incident management (Level 1, 2 and 3); address user, application and data issues. 8. Manage the configuration support and maintenance of the SAS platform 9. Oversee, recommend and implement appropriate solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance 10. Monitor usage logs to assist in performance tuning of the systems and servers 11. Create SDLC documentation and ensure alignment to overall SDLC and Change Management processes 12. Conform to system architecture standards and practices and work with outsourced suppliers as required to keep up to date with enabling technologies 13. Interface directly with various IT functional areas as it pertains to SAS Administration 14. Address other IT tasks as assigned by supervisor 15. Perform installation, upgrade and configuration of SAS technology products on all supported server environments. 16. Monitor the overall availability and performance of the current SAS technology server environments and take corrective actions as necessary to insure peak operational performance. 17. Work with the SAS user community; perform periodic code reviews to insure that SAS applications are utilizing efficient design principles and adhering to internally published best practices. 18. Provide solution assistance to insure that the most appropriate SAS technology is selected to satisfy the business requirement and to provide user assistance during early phases of the project lifecycle. 19. Contribute to the development of standards and operating procedures for the SAS environments and the development of new service offerings to insure that the user community receives the highest levels of support. 20. Responsible for providing SAS technical support to end users and implementing new SAS technical solutions including: 21. Helping to establish coding standards and best practices. 22. Supporting SAS developers with coding issues. 23. Execute change management processes surrounding new releases of SAS functionality. 24. Evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies to assist with change management and perform upgrades of the SAS environment when necessary.
Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 / DOE
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Requirements: 1. 8+ Years of Information Technology experience. Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience 2. Solid understanding of Data Warehousing and CRM concepts 3. Minimum 5 years experience as a system administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining SAS Application Server software; and as a system administrator working with established change management processes. 4. Subject Matter Expert in SAS Administration 5. Candidate must have at least 5 years extensive SAS programming experience. 6. Solid experience using and supporting SAS version 9.2 tools such as: Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/ETS, SAS/CONNECT, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Integration Technologies, Enterprise Miner Server, Enterprise Miner Thin Client, SAS High-Performance Forecasting, SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC and Teradata, SAS Forecast Studio 7. Extensive experience in installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting SAS platforms in Virtual Windows and Unix (AIX, Solaris, Linux) environment. 8. Strong experience in Cloud Computing and VM Infrastructure 9. Experienced project management competency; scope and requirements management, risk management and control, excellent project communications and change management and upward feedback is required 10. 5+ years of experience with Teradata DB. Most Recent experience should be in V2R12 or later version. 11. 2+ years experience with Oracle and SQL Server Databases 12. Experience with Job Scheduling using Scheduling tools like Control M 13. Active participation in infrastructure architecture, such as hardware sizing, effort estimation and security. 14. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 15. Ability to respond to critical issues, manage critical trouble tickets and drive towards permanent resolutions. 16. Excellent written/oral communication skills 17. Must be able to build and manage relationships with all involved, managing expectations at all levels. 18. Must be able to see a project through from beginning to end; deliver complete and accurate documentation to support the project; and communicate project milestones and scope changes as they arise. 19. Retail and ecommerce reporting and analysis experience preferred; 20. Experience with customer marketing, CRM is highly desirable
