Job Description:
Our client, a major brokerage firm located in downtown Manhattan is looking for a Senior Tech Lead/Senior Developer
***Open to consulting or Full-time employee candidates****
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will function as Technical Lead/Senior Developer and participate in day-to-day development functionality.
- Participate in entire SDLC process
- Gather business requirement and functional spec and translate to technical solutions
- Participate and assist in design process
- Deliver end-product as required in the spec or instructed by Tech Manager/BA and perform unit testing to ensure the quality of the codes
- Deployment/ Release - Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and trouble-shooting any issues/problems
- Document the requirements and technical design as required
- Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team in Offshore
Qualifications
- Must have at least 7 years experience as a Developer/Analyst developing commercial and/or business applications in financial industry
- At least 5-6 years of experience responsible for enterprise system working in/for Investment Banking domain
- Must have been involved in design and development of .Net projects with at least 4 years hands on experience on C#.
- Must have been exposed to full SDLC process
- Development experience using the following technology: C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, CSS, XML/XSL, ASP, VB Sciprt, ADO, and Java Script
- At least 5 years of development experience with MS-SQL 2000/2005
- Experience using Visual Sourcesafe and VS.Net
- Experience in SQL Analysis Services/ Reporting Services
- Must be familiar with SDLC process
- Must be proficient in C# programming language, extensive hands on experience on ASP.net, ADO.Net, CSS, XML/XSL style sheets and familiar with development tools such as VS.Net and Visual SourceSafe
- A good understanding in Object-Oriented Programming/Design including experience in C# component-based programming and window service programming
- Expertise in T-SQL stored procedure programming with MS-SQL Server
- Ability to design, organize, and implement module, perform system testing, plan and automate tasks to maintain existing system
- Ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems
- Highly motivated team player and always eager to learn new technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Understanding of SDLC methodology or other software build documentation methods
- Experience preparing project documents like change requests, meeting minutes, status reports, issue tracking (PMO function)
- Ability to work with developers to get status on outstanding tasks, help prioritize work and ensure deadlines are met
- MS Project
- MS Visio
- Pro-active, detail orientated, organized, not afraid to ask questions
- Any experience with SharePoint would be a bonus
Desirable:
* Concentrated industry expertise in financial services (Merchant Banking, Private Equity, Fund Management).
* Experience with BizTalk, Sharepoint, and SQL Reporting Services.
