Job Description:
We are seeking an individual to lead the design and implementation of patent-pending software suite. We are seeking a senior software development professional with solid Java and software development expertise to drive the growth of our product suite and address IT process enhancements for the Company.
This position will also lead the implementation of software at government facilities and involves travel. Will work with client technical staff and Project Manager to execute software development life cycle. Must possess strong initiative and analytical skills. Travel required.
This position requires working closely with partners in support of the system integration effort, including management of all planning and scheduling coordination. Must delineate on-going customer requests between existing requirements and new features, prevent new features or additional functionality from creeping into existing projects/contracts, and notify sales organization of new business opportunities with existing customers. Refined interpersonal skills required!
Lead developer will interact with all levels of personnel and facilitate group meetings. Must be able to work with both customers and other departments within Stratizon to achieve common goals.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in:
? Senior-level engineering and systems development experience with a strong background in Java, J2EE, XML and Linux
? Designing systems regarding intelligent, innovative solutions via core products and services
? Experience with IT best practices for product development, professional services and internal IT infrastructure
? Working in a structured and/or unstructured environment where you will be expected to develop and manage innovative processes with regard to new technology and the federal and non-federal business environments
? Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, and building long-term partnerships.

Requirements:
The major responsibilities of this position include:
? Participating in the design and development of new platform solutions to ensure capabilities reflect market conditions and industry trends
? Work with key stakeholders to define systems requirements, design application changes to meet business requirements, coding, testing and implementation. Work with other businesses and software vendors to research possible integration
? Trains and provides direction to programmer analysts (all levels)
? Provides feedback to manager concerning performance review of less experienced staff
? Develops and prepares complex computer database schemas and associated programs
? Participates with Systems Programmers, Database Administrators, and other Data Processing staff as appropriate, in overall system testing
? Analyzes and corrects database schemas and software problems using debugging tools
? Implementation of software product
? Develop customized code per client requirements
? Act as primary interface between the customer?s IT department and the Stratizon services team
? Implementation of software development standards and best practices
? Negotiate and manage a release schedule with the project manager
? Drive resource plans, critical tasks, and milestones
? Deliver written status reports on a weekly basis to project manager
? Drive build, testing and release iterations
? Create and execute technical specifications
? Act as primary point of contact for 3rd parties and subcontractors involved on a project
? Supervise QA and testing.
? May lead team projects
? Contributing to proposal development when requested
? Provides estimates of manpower requirements for development and maintenance tasks
? Periodic on-call requirement
? Works extra hours and weekends as necessary to meet deadlines and maintain the service
? Attends training as needed to achieve job objectives
? Periodic travel (10-35%).
