Job Description: Responsibilities
Transforming business requirements and research findings into highly usable, compelling designs Expressing designs through wireframes, flowcharts, storyboards, and interaction specifications Planning and facilitating client and/or team meetings Presenting research findings and solution recommendations Conducting user research, including interviews and field studies Creating user models, including personas and scenarios Conducting competitive/comparative analyses and evaluations Identifying and communicating compromises or alternatives, as needed Fostering long-term client satisfaction and trust Closely collaborating with other disciplines, including business analysis, project management, technical architecture, and engineering All interview candidates must be prepared to show a portfolio of representative past work such as wireframes, user flows, site maps, storyboards, and writing

Requirements: Required Skills
BS or BA degree in recognized field 3+ years in Information Architecture / User Experience role Problem solving, resourcefulness, and forward thinking in IA and Web design Proficiency in developing highly detailed deliverables, including but not limited to, wireframes, site maps, process flows, personas, and scenarios Familiarity and commitment to involvement with the full user-centered design project lifecycle, including user research, requirements gathering, ideation/concepting, and design Expertise with tools of the trade, e.g., OmniGraffle, Visio, Illustrator, and Photoshop Driven self-starter able to work individually and collaborate with other team members Excellent written and verbal communications skills Additional Desirable Experience and Skills Masters in Information Design, Interaction Design, Information Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field Consultancy or agency experience Experience designing for ecommerce and enterprise-class applications Experience with lab-based or guerilla usability testing Proficiency with simulation and prototyping tools (e.g., Axure, iRise) Content strategy Copywriting / content development for the Web Taxonomy development Rich Internet application (RIA) or Web application design Rapid prototyping Multi-platform/multi-channel design Interaction design
