Job Description: Language: Must be excellent english speaking capability Skills: korn shell; Oracle 10g; PHP; SQL; UNIX Oracle DBA: Must have experience with replication tools (ie Shareplex, Streams) Skills 2 or more years experience with replication tools such as Shareplex and Streams 3 or more years experience with: Oracle 10g on UNIX as a DBA SQL UNIX shell scripting language such as: Korn, Shell, PHP 2-3 years experience with: Application and Database Support of multiple environments (Production, Development, QA, etc.) Oracle Enterprise Manager Tools Oracle Grid Control PL/SQL Perl Java Oracle Real Application Clustering Oracle Streams
Experience Level: 3 Years
Requirements: Proactively plan, coordinate, and administer multiple database environments, including definition, structure, documentation, long range planning, operational guidelines and security. Candidate should be a self motivated team player with an eagerness to proactively seek out and solve problems. Duties 1. Design and implementation of new databases 2. Monitoring and maintaining existing databases 3. Resolving complex database issues 4. Problem determination 5. Optimizing performance 6. Implement protocols for disaster recovery and security 7. Implementation and monitoring of replication tools e.g., Shareplex, Streams 8. Enforcing Oracle database security protocols 9. Participate in 24x7 support - carry support phone on rotation Other Duties: 1. Recommend long-term technology solutions in accordance with an understanding of the methodology, architecture, and business needs of the organization. 2. Maintain database performance by monitoring space, CPU usage, fragmentation of data and by tuning queries, etc. 3. Assist Developers/DBAs with complex problems. Analyze and resolve issues using database tools. 4. Proactively oversee the need for db maintenance and communicate/coordinate with affected customers, minimizing business interruption wherever possible. 5. Work with other Developers/DBAs, System Engineers, and appropriate parties to coordinate integration and ensure compatibility of hardware, operating system.
