Job Description: JH025 Peoplesoft Functional Commitment Accounting Consultant Requirements: o o Previous experience implementing and/or supporting the PeopleSoft Commitment Accounting and Retro Funding distribution modules in PeopleSoft v8.9 in a public sector or higher education environment o o Prior experience in a payroll / payroll accounting office performing duties pertaining to payroll expense distribution and retroactive funding distribution o o Understanding of expense / liability accounting requirements in a Grants and/or Sponsored research environment ¡ ¡ Expert functional knowledge of the commitment accounting process within the PeopleSoft application · · Deep knowledge of the following features: Combination code; ChartFields; Earnings codes; Deduction codes; Offset group; Department Budget table; mapping tables; GL Interface; Journal Generator; actuals distribution ¡ ¡ Comprehensive understanding of the table structure supporting the Commitment Accounting and Retro Funding distribution processes ¡ ¡ Thorough knowledge of the processes associated with the Commitment Accounting and Retro Funding distribution modules including: Actuals Distribution; Payroll to GL Interface; Suspense accounts; liability processing; direct retro processing; budget retro processing ¡ ¡ Knowledge of integration between the PeopleSoft HCM and Financials applications including: Enterprise Integration Points; Message broker; Message Monitor; and Application Messaging. The consultant will be responsible for functional design, module configuration, business process reengineering, security and testing pertaining to the Commitment Accounting and Retro Funding distribution.
