Job Description:
WS006 Senior UNIX Administrator
Extraordinarily intelligent and resourceful individual sought to provide UNIX and networking support for the company, a highly successful investment and technology development firm. The person we hire will work with the highly-skilled 35-person IT systems staff and will be responsible for:

· Solaris and Linux related research projects
o Helping architect new technology for our fast-paced, high-growth environment
o Management and administration of over 1000 Linux and UNIX servers
o Management and administration of our state of the art global production network
· The ideal candidate will have:
o A computer science or engineering degree
o Extensive knowledge of multiple UNIX operating systems
o Solid understanding of the IGP and EGP routing protocols
o Strong programming and scripting ability
o Excellent verbal and written skills

We are seeking an unusually well-qualified candidate. While we strongly prefer candidates with both UNIX and networking expertise, exceptional candidates with only UNIX experience will also be considered.
